Vehicles and tire-punching devices were used to block the Baluarte River bridge on the Mexico 15 highway, south of Rosario, causing significant disruption on Thursday morning.
The blockade occurred at both ends of the bridge, using at least six units, including trailers and private vehicles, along with tire-punching devices. This is the second such incident on this highway in less than three weeks, the previous one happening between Chilillos and the Chametla junction.
Witnesses reported that the incident took place around 9:30 a.m., causing a complete halt to traffic. Shortly after, patrols from various corporations, including Municipal and State Police, arrived at the scene.
The blockade followed a confrontation between armed civilians in the area from Chilillos to Matatán, near the community of Copales. However, authorities have not yet provided official information regarding the incident.
As the situation develops, updates will be provided to inform the public about the ongoing circumstances on this critical highway.
