The Government of the State of Jalisco has presented the program “Yo Jalisco Apoyo para el Transporte” (I Jalisco Support for Transportation), which replaces the old “Mi Pasaje” (My Passage), with the purpose of providing free or discounted transportation to various groups in vulnerable situations, including older adults.
This program provides a subsidy on public transportation to older adults aged 60 or older, allowing up to two daily tickets on the Urban Electric Train (Siteur), Mi Macro Periférico, Mi Macro Calzada, feeder units (Sitren and Sitran) and other public transportation routes in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, as well as in municipalities such as Lagos de Moreno, Ciudad Guzmán, Tepatitlán and Puerto Vallarta.
Yo Jalisco Apoyo para el Transporte also includes students, women who are breadwinners, people with disabilities and relatives of missing persons.
When does registration for older adults begin?
Registration for senior citizens will be open from March 20 to April 11, 2025, and interested persons must schedule an appointment through the official platform https://yojaliscotransporte-ssas.jalisco.gob.mx, which will be available from March 10. Then, they must appear at the service module on the corresponding date and time.
Required documentation
To complete the registration, applicants must present:
Birth certificate
Official identification
CURP updated to 2025
Proof of address no older than 60 days
