International Women’s Day, also known as 8M, will have a new march in Guadalajara next Saturday, March 8, 2025. Check out the schedule of the mobilization in this note, as well as the closed streets and the alternative routes you can take.
As happens year after year, and with increasing enormity, women will take to the streets of the capital in their fight for equality, equity and a life without violence for girls, adolescents, women and older adults. As proposed by the UN, this year’s motto: “For all women and girls: rights. Equality. Empowerment.”
This 2025 march in Guadalajara will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will last throughout the afternoon, so it is expected that there will be movement in the streets until around 8 p.m. For this reason, it is important that you know which points of the city will be closed to traffic.
8M March in Guadalajara 2025: route and streets closed
“Yo Voy 8M” March: The meeting point will be at the Glorieta Minerva, starting at 4:30 p.m.; however, the contingents are expected to advance at 5:00 p.m. towards Plaza Liberación.
March of the Jalisco Feminist Front: The concentration will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the Glorieta de los Niños Héroes, and at 4:30 p.m. it will advance towards the Antimonumenta.

8M March in Guadalajara 2025: alternative routes
Calzada Independencia: If you travel along Federalismo or Enrique Díaz de León, it is recommended to take this road.
Circunvalación Agustín Yáñez and Avenida Inglaterra: If you need to deviate from the main avenues, you can choose this street.
Calle San Felipe: Parallel to Avenida Vallarta and crossing Andrés Terán, this street will take you to Avenida López Mateos.
Calle Garibaldi: Similar to the San Felipe option, Calle Garibaldi can also be an alternative to get to Avenida López Mateos.
