The Federal Secondary School Number 3 “Alfonso Caparroso Santamaría” of Villahermosa, Tabasco is involved in a delicate controversy of school bullying, in which the victim is a minor named Sofia, who is diagnosed with autism and the most outrageous thing about this situation is that it was reported that the school authorities decided to change her shift to avoid taking action against the aggressors.
This outrageous case of school bullying came to light because a series of videos were spread on digital platforms in which the physical aggressions of which the girl Sofia is a victim by her classmates were exhibited, even, in one of the recordings it can be seen that one of her classmates, who was identified as the main aggressor, beats her up in the school yard and in front of the eyes of other students, who are amused by the scene, they can even be seen laughing.

According to statements made by parents to various local media, once this case of workplace harassment came to light, the school authorities of Federal Secondary School Number 3 “Alfonso Caparroso Santamaría” decided to move the girl Sofía to the evening shift and to do so they made the minor’s mother, Emilia de los Santos Magaña, sign a document, who indicated that she cannot read or write, which caused outrage among the school community, as they consider that measures should have been taken against the aggressors and not against the victim.
Given this situation, the parents announced that on Friday, March 7, they would close the facilities of the Federal Secondary School Number 3 “Alfonso Caparroso Santamaría” in protest and with this measure they hope that the corresponding authorities will intervene in the case, which is not the only active one in the school, since it is known that there is currently another student hospitalized because he suffered a blow to the head after an assault committed by one of his classmates, however, it was reported that the parents of both students reached an agreement to cover the medical expenses that arise from this situation.
It is important to note that, as of the cut-off of this editorial, the Secretariat of Education of the state of Tabasco has not issued its position regarding the delicate issue of bullying that is experienced in the Federal Secondary School Number 3 “Alfonso Caparroso Santamaría” of Villahermosa, so it is expected that it will be during the next few hours when they issue information on the matter.
