The governor of Tabasco, Javier May Rodríguez, is the governor with the lowest public approval rating in the country, ranking 32nd in the Consulta Mitofsky survey, published in February of this year.

42.4 percent of respondents agreed and 56.9 percent disagreed with the Tabasco governor’s administration.

In October 2024, May Rodríguez started at 16th in this ranking. In November, he dropped to 18th, while in December of last year and January of this year, he remained at 30th, reaching 32nd in February.

In other words, from the beginning of his administration to last February, he dropped 16 places in the Consulta Mitofsky ranking.

According to this study, President Claudia Sheinbaum’s approval rating in Tabasco is 73.8 percent, while May’s is 42.2 percent.

On the other hand, the highest-rated governor is Mara Lezama of Quintana Roo, followed by Ricardo Gallardo of San Luis Potosí and Tere Jiménez of Aguascalientes.

On the other hand, the lowest-rated are Evelyn Salgado of Guerrero, in 30th place; David Monreal of Zacatecas, in 31st; and Javier May of Tabasco, in 32nd place.
