The United States is Hidalgo’s main export destination, with revenues of $305,039,665 between January and November 2024, according to the state’s Ministry of Economic Development.

However, US President Donald Trump’s recent tariff policy, which seeks to increase taxes on Mexican imports, has generated uncertainty about the future of this trade.

Faced with this situation, the Hidalgo government announced the implementation of a comprehensive strategy to mitigate the impact of potential trade restrictions.

Among the planned actions are market diversification, strengthening certifications and logistics, and adaptation to new regulatory requirements.
