Voting is now open for the seventh edition of the Best of Mexico awards, organized by the magazine México Desconocido, and Michoacán needs you to vote for the seven attractions it is participating in. According to a statement, Roberto Monroy García, head of the Michoacán Tourism Secretariat (Sectur), announced the categories in which “the soul of Mexico” is nominated this year.
We are nominated for Best City for a Destination Wedding (Morelia), State with the Best Typical Dish that Expresses the Essence of Mexican Cuisine (Carnitas), and Best Magical Town for a Family Getaway (Tlalpujahua),” the state official reported.
In addition to the previous categories, the following are also available: Destination with the Best Health and Wellness Experience (Los Azufres), Best Magical Town or Destination to Experience Our Artisan Tradition (Santa Clara del Cobre), Best Celebration to Connect with Our Roots and Customs (K’uínchekua), and Best Experience to Get Closer to Animal Life (Monarch Butterfly Migration).
Voting is very simple; just go to https://lomejormexico.com/, where you will be asked to create a username with your name and email address. You will then be able to begin the process of supporting the seven nominated attractions in the state. You don’t need to fill out all 14 categories; the platform allows you to directly select the destinations of your interest to participate, the Michoacán Ministry of Tourism (Sectur Michoacán).
