According to the March 23, 2025, report, La Boquilla Dam, the largest in the state, has a storage capacity of 15.06% of its total capacity, with a volume of 428.68 million cubic meters. Compared to the same period in 2024, a significant reduction is observed.
Another dam with low levels is Francisco I. Madero, located in the municipality of Rosales, which is currently at 11.69% of its capacity, with 38.97 million cubic meters stored.
In contrast, Pico del Águila Dam reports a storage capacity of 62.64%, equivalent to 178.14 million cubic meters, making it one of the few dams in more favorable conditions.
In the remaining monitored reservoirs, the following storage percentages were recorded:
Las Lajas: 31.02%
El Tintero: 9.83%
Luis L. León: 38.08%
El Rejón: 45.42%
The report also mentions the lack of rainfall in the state, which has contributed to the decline in dam levels. In the latest measurement, no rainfall was recorded in any of the monitored municipalities, including Chihuahua, Delicias, Ojinaga, and Ciudad Juárez.
