Bachetón program crews worked on kilometer 381+400 of the highway on the border between the states of Chihuahua and Durango, regrading the road.

Using a road roller, shovels, and rakes, personnel performed routine maintenance work, according to the SICT Center in the state of Chihuahua.

The federal government kicked off the year with these efforts to fill potholes and correct defects in the roads under its control.

Chihuahua was suffering from deterioration in many of its sections, and as the largest state, it was designated as the location where the Bachetón program will work on the largest number of kilometers.
Specifically, residents of Durango and southern Chihuahua had described this section as “impassable” in recent months, so federal maintenance was urgently needed.
Five days ago, the SICT indicated that the program was 91% complete in the state of Chihuahua, with the majority of states above 90%.
