The Veracruz State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reported on an operation that resulted in the seizure of 228 vehicles located on a property that had been attacked with a Molotov cocktail days earlier.

The events occurred in the municipality of Acayucan and were reported on March 25. Ministerial police, forensic experts, and officers from the Coatzacoalcos Regional Attorney’s Office arrived at the scene to inspect the area, where officers found tow trucks, tractor-trailers, tankers, trailers, and other vehicles.

Federal security officers also participated in the search, who “conducted a search authorized by a judge at the Grúas Amarillas property,” according to the report from state authorities.

Five people escorted by agents

One of the photographs shared by the Veracruz Attorney General’s Office is an aerial view showing various vehicles now under the protection of authorities.

Another image shows five people (three men and two women) being guarded by security personnel outside the building. However, the report shared on social media does not provide names or any other information about the individuals mentioned.

Members of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of the Navy, the National Guard, and the State Public Security Secretariat participated in the search.

Site was previously attacked

It is worth noting that on March 22, local media reported that the site recently inspected by authorities was attacked with a Molotov cocktail during the early hours of that day.

As a result, Civil Protection and Firefighters responded to the site to prevent the flames from spreading, with no injuries reported. The perpetrators were unknown.

Military personnel, National Guard officers, and state and municipal police also arrived at the scene, and an investigation was initiated to clarify what happened.

Search Results in Discovery of Explosive Devices

Separately, a search conducted on March 17 in Papantla resulted in the seizure of a site that allegedly operated as a clandestine workshop where explosive devices were manufactured.

The agents in charge of the search found a 3D printer, metal and plastic tubes, as well as white and gray powders (similar to gunpowder), fuses, and connectors.

Metal springs, a drone, an energy meter, thermal detectors and propellers, as well as filaments for 3D printers, were also found at the site.

Days earlier, on March 13, three people were arrested for their alleged involvement in the manufacture of homemade explosives.
