During this week’s Commission meeting, 45 permit applications were submitted for Holy Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, corresponding to stalls that will be located outside San Agustín, in the Cathedral, Santa Ana, and Sagrado Corazón, indicated Councilman Humberto Santana Guerrero.
At the Cathedral, the permit is for April 23rd, St. George’s Day, while the stalls in Santa Ana and Sagrado Corazón are for the sale of food and sweets.
Other vendors and artisans will be present at Plaza Fundadores, in the CNC plaza next to the Archbishopric, and on Bruno Martínez Street between Pino Suárez and 5 de Febrero streets.
The councilman explained that most artisans will be offering their creations of bracelets, accessories, souvenirs, and some clothing, as well as selling artisanal mezcal and Tlaxcala bread.
Regarding the issue of permits and to prevent the resale of spaces, a situation that has already occurred with some leaders, it was explained that they will work through registers.
The electoral roll records names, phone numbers, and voter ID cards. These are marked to confirm that they are the people who will be using the space and for how many days, to prevent misuse of the permit.
