How many taxis are there in the state of Durango?

The number of taxis has been increasing statewide, so the number of taxis operating in the state is quite considerable, with just over 13,000 vehicles offering this service.

This figure was released after the license plate re-registration campaign for these types of vehicles offering transportation services, as only four out of every 10 taxis met this requirement.

Which municipality has the most taxis in Durango?

Taxis are used throughout the state, so they are widely available in any of the different municipalities in the state of Durango. However, for obvious reasons, there are more of these vehicles where there are more residents.

What are the taxi fares in Durango?

Taxis in Durango, like the rest of public transportation, experienced a change in their fares, as costs increased at the beginning of 2025, both for route buses and for this type of service.

When boarding a taxi, you will have a starting fare, or “flag” as it is popularly known, of $7.49 pesos. After that, each kilometer will cost $8.48 pesos. At night, the flag will cost $7.89 pesos and per kilometer, $8.93 pesos.
