Agent who disappeared in 2024 found dead on the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway

Abraham Ulises Sánchez Campos, an Internal Affairs officer with the Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), was found dead after being missing since November of last year, while en route to the state of Morelos.

His body was found buried in a wooded area of ​​Tlalpan, on the highway section leading to the municipality. Forensic experts’ reports indicate that his remains bore bullet wounds to the chest.

He was last seen alive in the Juárez neighborhood of Mexico City. He reported that he was heading to Cuernavaca, Morelos, but his whereabouts are unknown.

In response, his family filed a missing person’s report; the car was found with bullet wounds in the municipality of Huitzilac.

The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office reported that the investigation is continuing to determine the whereabouts of those responsible for this crime.
