The Hidalgo government made a formal request to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum for the Mexico-Pachuca train to be built in Ciudad Sahagún.

This was confirmed by Hidalgo Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar, interviewed after the delivery of furniture to elementary schools.

“The factory installed in Ciudad Sahagún that supplied trains for the Maya Train has expressed its willingness and capacity to manufacture them,” the state leader stated.

He even said during his last visit that the company has the physical space to expand and create jobs. At the same time, he clarified that they will seek to build the train not only for the Mexico-Pachuca train, but for all federal government rail projects.

Menchaca Salazar stated that it will be up to the President of the Republic to choose the company that will manufacture the trains.

For its part, the state government is carrying out the right-of-way work, in conjunction with the municipal governments of Tizayuca, Villa de Tezontepec, and Zempoala.
