Municipal authorities reported the discovery of a man’s lifeless body on La Ribera beach, in the municipality of Los Cabos. The location was recorded on Monday, although the identity of the deceased has not yet been publicly confirmed.
According to statements by the City Council’s general secretary, Alberto Rentería Santana, there is a preliminary version that suggests it could be a foreign tourist reported missing during a cruise ship trip to San Diego, California.
“Information has been shared with the United States Coast Guard, which reported the disappearance of a person from one of these cruise ships. The ship has already arrived in San Diego, and the family is about to come to identify the body. Until then, their identity cannot be officially confirmed,” he stated.
Rentería indicated that, at this time, there are no further official details regarding the cause of death or whether the family will file a complaint.
Unofficial reports indicate that the body was found in an area near the Four Seasons Hotel; however, this information has not been confirmed by official sources.
Investigations continue in coordination with international authorities.
