Sources within the Morelia Bus Terminal (TAM) confirmed to MIMORELIA.COM that all departures to Guadalajara, Mexico City (CDMX), as well as municipalities in the lake region (Pátzcuaro, Uruapan), and Tierra Caliente were suspended this Wednesday due to the insecurity on several highways in the state.
The decision was made as a preventive measure in response to the multiple blockades and burning of vehicles reported throughout the day on various routes in Michoacán and Jalisco, which have posed a risk to passengers and operators.

Reaction from Authorities
The The blockades were allegedly created by alleged members of a criminal group in response to a federal operation targeting criminal leaders, according to intelligence sources.
Meanwhile, forces such as the Civil Guard, the National Guard, and the Ministry of National Defense have already deployed to the affected areas to restore order.
