Querétaro ranks 13th among the safest cities in the country.

The city of Querétaro stands out as one of the 13 safest cities in the country, according to the National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU) conducted by INEGI during the first quarter of 2025.

A 60.2% perception of security is reported among the population, while only 39.8% indicated feeling unsafe. This figure places Querétaro among the safest cities, moving from 57th place in December 2024 to 13th in March 2025.

Furthermore, the survey also places the State Police among the five state corporations with the greatest public trust, increasing 15.5 percentage points to 77.8% in this quarter of 2025.

According to INEGI, the perception of the State Police’s performance placed it in 7th place nationwide with 77.7%, an increase of 11.1 points. percentage points, which places it in the highest position in the last year.

This means that 84.3% of the population identifies the work and actions of the state security agency as positive, rising from 33.9% to 60.2% in terms of perception of public security, an increase of 26.3 percentage points.
