As part of a joint operation between the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) and the Agency for Safety, Energy, and Environment (ASEA), six gas stations were inspected in the state of Guanajuato, where various irregularities were detected.

The result was the immobilization of 26 measuring instruments and the temporary closure of four gas stations for lacking an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and failing to meet safety and environmental standards.

The operation aims to ensure that gas stations sell full liters of gasoline, respect established prices, and comply with environmental regulations.

The operations were accompanied by members of the National Guard (GN) and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC).

At Súper Servicio Solidaridad S.A. de C.V. (Irapuato), it was discovered that one of the dispatchers was not keeping the display on after power outages, and another was not delivering full liters (871 ml less for every 20 liters). Furthermore, it lacked a valid MIA (Measuring Instruments Act) and had technical modifications.

Also, at Superservicio San Miguelito S.A. de C.V. (Guanajuato capital), three instruments were immobilized due to electronic inconsistencies, and incomplete liters (166.06 ml less for every 20 liters) were closed for not presenting a MIA (Measuring Instruments Act).

Finally, at two stations in Guillermo Anaya Gutiérrez (Guanajuato), 14 instruments were immobilized. Eight due to record inconsistencies and six due to technical failures. Both lacked a valid MIA (Measuring Instruments Act) and were temporarily closed.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to consumer and environmental protection.
