Kidzania, the network of children’s educational entertainment centers, will open a location in Puebla in 2025. The branch will be located inside Plaza Riona High, in San Andrés Cholula, according to information published on social media specializing in real estate development.
The brand, founded more than 25 years ago in Mexico, is committed to expanding to key cities across the country. According to its founder, Xavier López Ancona, the company will open new complexes called “Kidzania Chiquito” in five cities: Puebla, Querétaro, Mérida, León, and Tijuana.
The Plaza Riona High shopping center, located on Atlixcáyotl Boulevard and across from the JV Tower, will be the first location in Puebla to host this concept. The project adapts to the new preferences of children, with spaces that simulate present and future professions.
Kidzania allows girls and boys to pretend to be professionals in an environment designed to encourage decision-making, independence, and learning through experience. The new “small” format seeks to incorporate dynamics related to digital animation, astronomy, artificial intelligence, and content creation.
This model also prioritizes sustainable practices and responds to the need for more comprehensive play experiences. According to López Ancona, evaluating the performance of these new locations will allow for optimization of the concept before expanding its international presence.
Currently, Kidzania operates 27 parks in Mexico and 19 more in countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. With this national expansion, the brand reinforces its commitment to non-formal education and child development through play.
Although the exact opening date has not yet been announced, the company is expected to announce details of the launch of operations in Puebla in the coming months.
