The Baja California government guaranteed a rate subsidy for electricity service to 400,000 households in Mexicali and San Felipe from May 1 to October 30, following an agreement with the Federal Electricity Commission.
The amount agreed upon with the CFE for 2025, with support from the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, is 1.753 billion pesos to benefit the population of both municipalities.
For this hot season, which includes spring, summer, and fall, domestic users consuming up to 2,650 kilowatts per month are included. This consumption represents an increase of 150 kilowatts compared to the previous season.
