In a very “women only” style, the municipalities of Huejutla de Reyes and El Arenal recognized teachers and mothers with a show performed by a group of strippers. The videos circulated on social media and have gone viral, garnering various comments against, in favor of, and even from comedians. The truth is, this isn’t the first time this has happened during celebrations in Hidalgo, and whether it’s right or wrong, you can judge for yourself.

One of the events was directly organized by the municipal government of El Arenal for Mother’s Day. The video was posted on its official Facebook page and has sparked a series of controversial comments, especially because the mothers attended the celebration with their minor children.

In the images, you can see the discomfort some mothers felt at the presence of men dancing shirtless in front of them and inviting them to touch them. On the other hand, there were also those who applauded, enjoyed, and even recorded the show. Similarly, comments on the post were divided between those who joked about moving to El Arenal and those who offered similar options for Father’s Day celebrations.

So far, the city council has not published a statement on this event, which sparked controversy among social media users. The video has been active on its Facebook page since Friday. It’s worth mentioning that during this celebration, mothers also received raffle gifts, enjoyed musical events, and other shows with mariachis, clowns, and more.

In Huejutla, they dance for the teachers

Meanwhile, in the Hidalgo municipality of Huejutla, the National Union of Education Workers (SENTE) Section 15 recognized the work of women in the teaching sector with an event that also included dancing with strippers as part of the entertainment.

The event brought together official authorities and members of the Sectional Executive Committee, who reaffirmed their commitment to gender equality and recognition of the work of teachers. Said Vargas Saenz, a leader in the entity, led the event.

The celebration of Women’s Day, as it was named within the framework of the celebrations for mothers and teachers, caused controversy on social media when a video was released showing strippers dancing, surrounded by teachers. The get-together took place Thursday morning at the Huejutla fairgrounds and included car raffles, a banquet, and a star-studded performance by the group “Los Ángeles de Charly.”

The Actopan Municipal Government also joined the Mother’s Day celebrations and hosted an event featuring a musical performance by the group Wuapayasos.
