The Association of Hotels and Motels of the State of Tlaxcala (AHMET) has estimated a hotel occupancy rate of 85% and an economic impact of at least 52 million pesos for the National Olympics in Tlaxcala, Apizaco, and Huamantla. Therefore, they are ready to welcome visitors and provide them with an excellent experience during their stay in the state, stated the president of the Association, Virgilio Medellín Viveros.
In an interview, he assured that the state has the necessary hotel infrastructure to meet the demands of attendees, who will be present starting May 16th at the opening of the sporting event, which will host several sports disciplines and will be held at the Tlahuicole Stadium.

In this regard, he noted that in addition to accommodations, several hotels have also prepared tours or guided visits to different parts of the state for families accompanying the athletes, offering them tours of the capital city, magical towns, and Val’Quírico, among other tourist attractions in the state.
He also recognized the work of Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros for bringing these types of events to the state, which position the Tlaxcala brand nationally. He emphasized that they are working in coordination with the Tlaxcala State Sports Institute, as well as with the State Coordination of Civil Protection and the Secretariat of Citizen Security to offer quality and friendly service to visitors. He stated that all hotels have at least one HM quality seal and a Clean Point, meaning that all staff are prepared to welcome tourists in a quality and safe environment, in addition to having measures in place to handle any emergency. Therefore, “we are ready to host this important event.”
