Members of the Calle Cero Foundation and the Animalix non-profit organization announced that they will be holding the 14th Free Sterilization Campaign for Dogs and Cats in the city of San Cristóbal de Las Casas. The vaccination locations will be announced in the coming days. This will be completely free.
In this regard, the organizers announced that this Sunday, the 11th, they will be handing out vaccination cards in the Tlaxcala neighborhood, located in the northern part of San Cristóbal de Las Casas. Those interested must have their vaccination card, as without it, their pets will not be vaccinated.
They indicated that a total of 400 vaccination cards will be handed out, which will be distributed free of charge by the organization’s staff. Therefore, people are asked to go to the designated location to receive their vaccination card and have their pets sterilized.
For her part, Ericka Brand informed the press that the surgeries are scheduled for Saturday, the 17th, and Sunday, the 18th, at the multipurpose room in the aforementioned neighborhood, located on Cuba Street and the corner of Perú, north of San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
Finally, she indicated that the main objective of the campaign is to reduce the number of homeless animals, as many end up abandoned or euthanized due to a lack of homes.
“The Calle Cero Foundation is a non-profit civil organization focused on reducing the homeless dog and cat population,” she stated.
