Celebrating International Bicycle Day: All You Need to Know About Ciclotón CDMX 2025

2

As I prepare for the upcoming celebration of International Bicycle Day, I’m excited to share with you all the details about the Ciclotón CDMX 2025 event, a family-friendly ride through the streets of Mexico City.

On Sunday, May 25th, I’ll be joining thousands of cyclists as we embark on a 62.5-kilometer circuit that will take us through various points in the capital, including the iconic Angel of Independence, Diana the Huntress, and Caballito.

The Ciclotón is an event organized by the Mexico City Sports Institute to commemorate International Bicycle Day (June 3rd), which aims to promote the use of bicycles as a sustainable, accessible, and healthy means of transportation. As I ride through the streets, I’ll be surrounded by the beauty of our city’s landmarks and scenic routes.

The route will begin on Avenida La Fortuna and then pass through Calzada de Guadalupe and Avenida Paseo de la Reforma until reaching Avenida Río Churubusco. Along the way, we’ll travel through Sevilla, Durango, Mazatlán, Avenida Patriotismo, and Avenida Río Mixcoac.

One of the highlights of the event is the presence of gas stations where cyclists can hydrate, and request mechanical or medical services, including a physical therapist. These stations will be strategically located throughout the route to ensure that participants have access to support whenever needed.

Some of the service station locations include:

* Calzada de Guadalupe, corner of Fortuna Avenue

* Paseo de la Reforma, corner of Eje 2

* Paseo de la Reforma, corner of Juárez Avenue

* Paseo de la Reforma, Ahuehuete Roundabout

* Paseo de la Reforma, Angel de la Independencia Roundabout

* Paseo de la Reforma, corner of Sevilla

* Paseo de la Reforma, corner of Julio Verne

* Mazatlán Street, corner of Alfonso Reyes

* Patriotismo Avenue, corner of 23rd Street

The Ciclotón will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., giving participants plenty of time to complete the route and enjoy the scenic views.

As we celebrate International Bicycle Day on June 3rd, I’m reminded of its significance in promoting sustainable transportation, reducing traffic congestion, and supporting an active lifestyle. By cycling through the streets of our city, we’re not only enjoying the benefits of physical activity but also contributing to a healthier environment.

I invite you to join me on this fun-filled ride and experience the joy of cycling through Mexico City’s vibrant streets!
