Yesterday, the first intensive actions against dengue and other vector-borne diseases began on the borders of Tabasco and Chiapas.
The bilateral flag-waving campaign against this disease was launched in the municipality of Reforma, Chiapas.
Alejandro Calderón Alipi, State Secretary of Health in Tabasco, stated that these actions seek to reduce the incidence of dengue and contain transmission in a geographical area that traditionally has very high mobility among the population of both states.
VECTOR EFFORT
He stated that so far this year, various dengue prevention and control actions have been implemented in 273 localities through ground fogging operations, covering an area of 48,000 hectares, successfully protecting the Tabasco population in all 17 municipalities; an effort to combat vectors.
