The body of a man with gunshot wounds was found behind the wastewater treatment plant of a convenience store located on Manuel J. Clouthier Avenue.
The discovery report was issued at 9:40 a.m. and indicated the parking lot of a convenience store located in the Costa Dorada neighborhood, just a few meters from where a Volkswagen Jetta was abandoned and involved in a chase on Friday afternoon.
The body was apparently discovered by convenience store staff, and Municipal Police officers went to the scene and cordoned off the area until the arrival of forensic personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office. The deceased was wearing a dark T-shirt, gray Bermuda shorts, and black tennis shoes.
After the legal proceedings, the body was taken by funeral personnel to the Forensic Medical Service facilities, where he remained undisclosed.
The deceased is believed to have participated in the car-to-car chase and gunfire exchange Friday afternoon on a stretch of Clouthier Avenue.
