Authorities from Mexico and the United States presented a new list of 15 priority targets within the binational “Wanted Information” program.
The initiative, which seeks to locate and arrest individuals linked to serious crimes such as homicide, drug trafficking, and criminal conspiracy, was announced at an event held in Yuma, Arizona, on June 13, 2025.
According to the Border Patrol (BP), this collaboration involves various agencies from both countries, including Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), the Department of Justice (DOJ), as well as the attorney general’s offices of the Mexican states of Sonora and Baja California.
The program, which aims to combat cross-border organized crime, focuses on capturing individuals considered to be drivers of violence in the border region.
Among the 15 identified targets are individuals wanted for crimes such as homicide, disappearance by private individuals, and drug trafficking, with documented criminal activities in Sonora, Baja California, and Arizona.
The list includes names such as Iván Duarte Piña, accused of homicide and criminal association, and Mariana Fernández López, linked to drug trafficking.
During the event, the Attorney General of the State of Sonora, Gustavo Salas Chávez, emphasized that the border should not be an obstacle for authorities, but rather an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and guarantee justice for victims. “The common objectives we seek are to guarantee better levels of security and bring criminals to justice,” he stated.
The “Information Wanted” program uses various channels to disseminate the faces and details of the targets, including posters, flyers, and digital platforms.
These materials are being distributed at strategic locations in southern Arizona and northern Sonora, such as Border Patrol stations, checkpoints, and international ports of entry. In addition, contact lines have been established so the public can provide information confidentially and anonymously.
The Cabinet Coordinator of the Baja California State Attorney General’s Office, Juan Carlos Buenrostro Molina, stated that the release of this list will be a key tool in locating those responsible for these crimes and bringing them to justice.
Prominent names on the list also include Germán Hiram Robles Matas, José Luis Vélez Aguiluz, and Ronay Ulises Rivas Castro, all wanted for homicide.
Also included are individuals linked to drug trafficking, such as Tania Miranda and Ramiro Jr. Hernández, the latter also identified as a fugitive.
The full list of targets and more information about the program are available on the official Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website.
