To safeguard the security of the “Migrantes Unidos” caravan during its transit through Tamaulipas, State Guard Highway Support authorities assigned to the Puente III Safe Station accompanied the contingent as it traveled along Federal Highway 85, Nuevo Laredo-Monterrey.

Migrantes Unidos is a civil association that promotes the rights of fellow citizens residing in the United States, highlighting their needs through these types of activities.

This year’s event was made up of approximately 250 vehicles, supported by the State Guard, the National Migration Institute (INM), the National Guard Highway Division, the National Guard Operational Area, the Sierra Gorda Civil Protection Unit, the Querétaro State Subdirectorate, and the Pinal de Amoles Municipal Police of that state.

Likewise, the governments of Tamaulipas and Querétaro coordinated efforts to ensure the safety of the participants from their arrival in the country across the Tamaulipas border to their destination in the Sierra Gorda.
