Nearly 5,000 people participated in the LGBT+ Pride march this afternoon. They arrived in Morelia’s historic center around 7:00 p.m., an hour after departing from the Venustiano Carranza Stadium, and concluded at the Plaza de Armas, almost in front of the Government Palace.
At the front of the march, a banner was seen reading: “Pride is also the memory of the struggle. Not one step back.”
Starting Saturday morning, the Morelia City Council began closing the streets on Madero Avenue, and dozens of security personnel accompanied the protesters throughout the march.
Over the next few days, there will be workshops such as “Embroidering, Knitting, and Telling Our Stories,” discussions, and book presentations.
Meanwhile, in Tepic, Nayarit, the 2025 Nayarit Pride March was held, with dozens of people, mostly young people, participating.
This activity seeks to raise awareness of the community and demand respect for their rights.
