A traffic incident was reported on the stretch of highway from La Cruz de Huanacaxtle to Punta de Mita in the municipality of Bahía de Banderas. Moments earlier, a Chevrolet Suburban pickup truck with tourists on board was traveling along the stretch of highway. While maneuvering to avoid a pothole, it continued to fall and ended up falling into another pothole, damaging the steering wheel, causing mechanical failure and a flat tire, and stopping off the road surface.
No injuries were reported, only property damage.
