The rains recorded this Thursday morning in Mazatlán caused partial traffic closures in several areas.

Mario Ernesto Cruz Hernández, Deputy Director of Municipal Traffic, reported that they are providing support on Avenida La Marina and Rafael Buelna streets, heading south and north, in the direction of Toreo and the Sánchez Celis neighborhood; on Camarón Sábalo in front of the CONAPESCA Building; on Avenida Ejército Mexicano and Insurgentes streets in the López Mateos neighborhood; and in the Benito Juárez neighborhood, from 20 de Noviembre Street to Gabriel Leyva Street.

The Director of the Traffic Unit added that the intersection of Manuel J. Clouthier Avenue was also affected, as was Reforma Avenue. Mazatlán City Hall employees are joining traffic personnel to carry out the necessary maneuvers to quickly reduce the rainfall.

He reported that traffic police are investigating another closure near Valentino’s, as well as in Lomas de Mazatlán.

Members of the security forces and the Municipal Civil Protection Coordination continue their inspections to assess the effects of this morning’s rain.

He also urged the public to exercise extreme caution until the level recedes on several city roads.
