From the fields of Cócorit to the stock exchanges of New York and Mexico City (CDMX), Enrique Robinson Bours Almada left an indelible mark on the business history of Sonora and the country. A visionary and pioneer, he was the architect behind six successful companies before turning 30, including two that completely transformed the Mexican business landscape: Bachoco and Megacable. The latter once competed with Telmex in the telecommunications sector, positioning him as a direct rival to Carlos Slim Helú.
Born in Navojoa in 1927, Bours Almada earned his academic training in Mexico and the United States. He graduated with a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Southern California in 1948. Upon his return, his father entrusted him with the management of a Ford dealership in Ciudad Obregón, but his ambition did not stop there.
