The Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation of the State of Puebla (SECIHTI) and Google Mexico led the event “Google, Ally in the Digital Transformation of Puebla,” with training for state and municipal public servants. The goal is to build an agile, transparent, and innovative public management model that positions Puebla as Mexico’s technological capital.
The alliance establishes strategic objectives: to promote the use of previously contracted digital tools to optimize citizen services, guarantee cybersecurity through specialized protocols, and eradicate bureaucracy through administrative simplification based on artificial intelligence.
The training included training in AI add-ons with Workspace, security guidelines for the correct use of technological tools, management of server support tools such as Gemini and NotebookLM, cyber threat perspectives with Mandiant, and the application of Gemini in Google for Education.
The head of SECIHTI, Celina Peña, emphasized: “Google is an opportunity to reduce bureaucracy and build technological security that benefits citizens. These strategic alliances support young people and transform government processes.”
The Undersecretary of Digital Transformation of SECIHTI, Héctor Silva, emphasized: “Only as a digital state will we promote technological security for citizen well-being. We will use these tools strategically and responsibly.”
The representative and president of the Innovation and Technology Committee of the Local Congress, Ana Laura Gómez, applauded: “This alliance brings technological security to every corner of Puebla, improving public services with an innovative vision.”
The Vice-Rector for Research at UPAEP, Jorge Medina Delgadillo, acknowledged: “We are collaborating to think big and consolidate Puebla’s digital revolution.”
Google’s Senior Sales Representative for Public Sector and Education, Manuel Tierno Anaya, stated: “We are committed to genuine cybersecurity and AI. We are excited to support the state government and municipalities.”
With these actions, the Government of the State of Puebla, under the leadership of Governor Alejandro Armenta, is ensuring comprehensive security through a digital transformation that prioritizes efficiency and citizen protection. For the Love of Puebla, Think Big.
