Vacations in Guanajuato: Nearly 3 Million Visitors. What events do the municipalities offer?

The 46-day summer vacation season, which has already begun, promises to generate an economic impact in Guanajuato of 7.187 billion pesos across the state.

With the theme “Marine World,” authorities formally launched the festival this Sunday. The celebration includes more than 85% of free activities and a projected economic impact of 459 million pesos.

The Ministry of Tourism projects 2.9 million visitors in six municipalities: León expects 181,000 tourists, Guanajuato City expects 102,000, and San Miguel de Allende expects 83,000.

In addition, Irapuato expects 58,000 visitors, Celaya expects 39,000, and finally Dolores Hidalgo expects 14,000.

“We want to create inclusive tourism that reaches all regions of Guanajuato. We have events in every corner of Guanajuato,” said Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo during her weekly program, Connecting with the People.

What else is there to do and in which municipalities?

The Summer Festival is currently taking place in León, Mexico, and will be open until August 9 in the León, Mexico City district. 85% of its activities are free.

The Silao Fair kicks off this Friday, July 25, and ends on August 3. The first concert will be given by Monterrey singer Alicia Villarreal.

Grupo Pesado will close the event on August 10.

Molotov will perform on Sunday, July 27, Los Acosta will perform on Thursday, July 31, and Los Cardenales and Invasores de Nuevo León will perform on Thursday, August 7.

The first Rincón Grill Festival is being prepared for July 27th in San Francisco del Rincón.

Native flavors will be highlighted with a gastronomic festival.
This is the third edition of the state’s Endemic Festival, which will take place on July 25th and 26th in four municipalities: Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Irapuato, and León.
In Pénjamo, the Tequila Festival will be held on August 2nd, featuring exhibitions, distilled spirits, mezcal, and pulque.

Also this holiday season will feature the third edition of the Guanajuato Endemic Festival, which will take place on July 25th and 26th in the cities of León, Irapuato, San Miguel de Allende, and the capital of Guanajuato.
