Traveling? Although the rains have not subsided in much of Mexico in recent days, some states will experience high temperatures. We’ll tell you which states will be affected so you don’t get caught off guard.
States will exceed 40°C: Find out which states will experience high temperatures.
Maximum temperatures of 40 to 45°C: Baja California (northeast), Baja California Sur (central and southern), Sonora, Chihuahua (southwest), and Sinaloa (north and central).
Maximum temperatures of 35 to 40°C: Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Durango, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo.
Maximum temperatures of 30 to 35°C: Zacatecas (south), San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Hidalgo (north), Puebla (north and southwest), and Morelos.
Heavy rains with very heavy rainfall (50 to 75 mm): Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Tabasco, and Chiapas.
Showers with heavy rainfall (25 to 50 mm): Zacatecas, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Puebla, Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo.
Intervals of showers (5 to 25 mm): Sonora, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, State of Mexico, Tlaxcala, and Morelos.
Isolated showers (0.1 to 5 mm): Baja California Sur, Tamaulipas, Querétaro, Hidalgo, and Mexico City.
Weather in Mexico City and Edomex on July 22
This morning, a cool and cold atmosphere is expected in the Valley of Mexico, with fog in high altitudes. In the afternoon, the weather will become warm with partly cloudy skies.
In Mexico City, there will be a chance of isolated showers, while in the State of Mexico, heavier rains are expected with showers, accompanied by lightning and possible hail.
Temperatures in Mexico City will range between 12 and 28°C, and in Toluca between 7 and 25°C. Winds from the north and northeast will gust at 10 to 20 km/h (6 to 12 mph), with gusts of up to 40 km/h (25 mph).
