Grupo Libera, a 100% Yucatecan real estate developer founded in 2019, consolidates its regional and national leadership by implementing a comprehensive sustainability model in the southeastern Mexican real estate market. With more than 20 delivered projects and a portfolio exceeding 2 billion pesos in its first five years, the company stands out for its integration of innovation, added value, and community impact.

In 2024, Grupo Libera became the first developer in Mexico to obtain the Environmental Quality Distinction from PROFEPA, a recognition that endorses compliance with high environmental management standards. Since 2022, it has also held the Socially Responsible Company (ESR) distinction and is a member of the UN Global Compact. It also integrates the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEP) and the Factor Wellbeing 360 certification for organizational culture.

Its portfolio includes residential projects, heritage lands, eco-residential developments, industrial developments, and boutique hotels in Yucatán, Quintana Roo, and other strategic regions. Its most notable projects include Tótem Residencial Sustentable—winner of the 2023 LADI Awards for Best Horizontal Housing—and Tótem Beach Club, which received the Golden Drop Award for its wastewater treatment system, equivalent to more than 2 million liters of treated water.

Grupo Libera’s strategy is based on principles of environmental, social, and governance sustainability, with bioclimatic design criteria, the use of regional materials, responsible water management, and development outside of protected natural areas. Since its founding, it has benefited more than 20,000 people through employment programs, local value chains, and community conservation and education initiatives.

“Our commitment is to demonstrate that real estate development can and should generate economic value with a positive social impact, raising the bar for what is expected from a company in the southeast to the entire country,” said Edoardo Triay, CEO of Grupo Libera.

With presence in Mérida, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Aguascalientes, the State of Mexico, and Playa del Carmen, the company offers a purpose-driven investment model that includes legal support, direct financing, high-value locations, and after-sales service.
