From September 4th to 8th, Querétaro will host the Hay Festival 2025, which will be held in the state capital for the tenth consecutive year. For five days, the international gathering will bring together prominent voices in literature, art, science, and culture, with the aim of fostering contemporary debate through conferences, talks, and activities open to audiences of all ages.
Querétaro’s Historic Center, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, will serve as the venue for the activities in emblematic squares and venues. Its main attractions include:
Venues such as the City Theater, the Metropolitan Theater, the Guerrero Garden, Fundadores Square, as well as the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Regional Museum.
Its baroque and colonial architecture are in harmony with a modern, safe, and highly connected city.
A wide range of cuisines combine traditional Querétaro cuisine with nationally recognized signature dishes.
A vibrant cultural life, with festivals, galleries, bookstores, art markets, and independent collectives.
The proximity to natural spaces like El Cimatario National Park, as well as experiences such as the tourist train, the Downtown Tram, and nighttime legend tours.
The festival also includes concerts, youth talks, community activities, and programming in different municipalities across the state. The Hay Community Festival, the Hay Youth Festival, and events held outside the capital will be free of charge, as will the two scheduled concerts.
Where to book tickets?
Tickets for the general program will cost a nominal 10 pesos and will be available online at hayfestival.org/queretaro/entradas, as well as at the Teatro de la Ciudad box office (16 de septiembre street, 44-E) starting September 1.
Admission will be free for the university community and senior citizens, who can request tickets online or directly at the box office. In addition, several of the conversations will be streamed live on the festival’s official website and subsequently made available digitally for free and for a limited time.
