The rains recorded in recent hours in Chiapas have left multiple damages on both highways and in cities. One of the most severe impacts was recorded on the San Miguel-Álvaro Obregón highway section in the municipality of El Bosque, where half of the roadway was washed away, limiting and endangering vehicular traffic.

Likewise, in SCLC, street flooding was once again reported, and river and stream flows in the colonial city have increased by up to 90 percent.

Meanwhile, the rains will continue for Tuesday and Wednesday. The Civil Protection Early Warning System for rains issued a green alert for very heavy rains (50.1 to 75 mm) in Soconusco and Meseta Comiteca. While the blue alert for heavy rains (25.1 to 50 mm) is expected in the regions of: Isthmus-Coast, Zoque Valleys, Mezcalapa, De los Llanos.
