Last Friday, August 29, a mechanic was shot multiple times while repairing a motorcycle on the streets of the Los Vergeles neighborhood in the municipality of Escobedo, Nuevo León. The attack appeared to be the work of an armed group, but a video revealed otherwise, and the perpetrator was believed to be a young hitman.
Videos of the exact moment the man, aged 35 to 40, was executed in what appeared to be a direct attack began circulating on social media, as another man was present at the time of the incident, who escaped unharmed.
A young hitman
In the images of the murder, the victim can be seen on the sidewalk on Toscana Street, with another man, repairing a motorcycle. At that moment, two young men appear walking; one of them is recording with a cell phone, and the hitman has her hand behind his back, about to pull out her weapon.
After approaching, the woman can be seen asking her victim, “Excuse me, don’t you know where there’s a store?” The victim turns to answer, and at that moment she begins firing her gun multiple times, leaving him lifeless on the sidewalk. Meanwhile, the other man runs for safety.
Immediately, both young men run away along the same Toscana Street. The young man records the scene with his cell phone at all times, while the hitwoman still has the gun in her hand.
The Nuevo León Attorney General’s Office reported that it has opened an investigation and is conducting the necessary steps to identify those responsible; however, so far, it has not released details about the victim’s identity or any progress in locating the attackers.
The images of this homicide have sparked outrage due to the cold-blooded manner in which the young woman remorselessly murders her victim, while her accomplice records everything without preventing the crime.
