With the firm objective of strengthening women’s capacities, competencies, and skills to foster their autonomy and leadership, the State Government, through the Secretariat for Women, launched the training program “Women Who Transform: Training for Development and Peace.”
As part of this strategy, staff from the Undersecretariat for the Prevention of Violence and Discrimination participated in the first training program on assertive communication, delivered in coordination with the Puebla State Employment Training Institute (ICATEP).
The program includes more than 600 courses in 62 municipalities across the state, with topics ranging from job skills and personal development to violence prevention, substantive equality, entrepreneurship, and community leadership. The training will have curricular value, allowing participants to strengthen their professional careers and expand their opportunities in the workplace and academia.
These training sessions are primarily aimed at public servants, as well as women community leaders and entrepreneurs, with the goal of expanding their opportunities in the social, economic, and productive spheres.
With these actions, the administration led by Alejandro Armenta reaffirms its commitment to creating training and empowerment opportunities for women, in order to contribute to strengthening more just, peaceful, and violence-free communities.
