Mexico’s First Magical Town

The first Magical Town in Mexico is Huasca de Ocampo, which received its designation on October 5, 2001.

This Magical Town is located in Hidalgo and is known for its incredible natural landscapes, historic sites, beautiful views, cobblestone streets, romantic walks, colonial haciendas, and magical places where man-made and natural wonders combine.

Huasca de Ocampo has a pleasant and welcoming image where you can spend a few days of true relaxation.

Various festivities take place in this Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town), such as:

Three Kings’ Day: January 3-8.
San Sebastián: January 20 with palenques, folk dances, and craft sales.
National Folklore Festival: March 3.
San Juan Bautista Festival: June 24 with charreadas (rope walks), masses, and literary and musical programs.
Virgen de los Virgen Festival: December 11-13 with rides and regional culinary offerings.
