The governor of Durango, Esteban Villegas Villarreal, and his wife, Marisol Rosso Rivera, president of the State DIF, celebrated the 2025 Cry of Independence in style at Plaza IV Centenario.

The event began with honors to the Mexican Army’s flag, and at 11:00 p.m. Villegas appeared on the main balcony, accompanied by military, legislative, and municipal authorities, to give the traditional speech, in which he recognized the heroes of independence.

After waving the national flag and singing the traditional “Viva México!” (Long Live Mexico!), the Bronco group closed the patriotic evening with songs such as “Amigo Bronco,” “Oro,” and “Mírenla.”

The Cry of Independence in Durango, led by Esteban Villegas Villarreal, was not only a civic act but also a celebration of unity with a festive atmosphere.
