“In Durango, we have investment, employment, security, and a great future,” emphasized Ernesto Alanís Herrera, president of the Governing and Political Coordination Board (JUGOCOPO) of the Durango State Congress, as he reviewed the government’s first three pillars, which were presented to the full House of Representatives in compliance with the third government report.
This is the competitive and prosperous Durango we seek; one that offers opportunities for young people and encourages communities to remain rooted so that families don’t disperse because one of their members leaves in search of better living conditions. “For this reason, Congress works every day to strengthen actions that benefit families,” he added.
So far, three key areas of government have been presented, so he emphasized that based on the results presented by the secretaries, it can be seen that the state enjoys the trust of investors, reflected in more than 28 investments and benefits for thousands of families. That’s why we’re paying close attention to these comments, in which we’ve talked about daring to do things and being at the forefront of promoting the state so as not to be left behind.
He also referred to the importance of the work done to boost and strengthen Durango’s countryside, while advancing the application of technology such as drones to improve land productivity. Evidently, the livestock sector is of crucial importance, as much work has been done to maintain good herd health and export status.
Alanís Herrera also recognized Durango’s progress in tourism and filmmaking, noting that the former has generated an economic impact of more than 200 million pesos and the creation of 2,000 jobs.
Finally, he commented that the review of the third government report is a very positive, pluralistic, transparent, and responsible exercise, but it also has a political undertone.
