In the heart of Tamaulipas, Poza Madre stands as a true natural paradise, consolidating its position as the symbol of community tourism in the region.

With the upcoming opening of cabins by the Tamaulipas government, the expansion of innovative services, and visionary strategies, this destination is poised to captivate a greater number of visitors, driving the sustainable development of the local community.

Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism for Tamaulipas, noted that this natural beauty features two zip lines, kayaks for excursions, and boats for enjoying the crystal-clear waters of this unique setting.

“In addition, traditional cooks await you with their delicious stews prepared over a firewood fire, freshly handmade tortillas and gorditas, accompanied by aromatic coffee or refreshing water,” he said.

Hernández Rodríguez also explained that the site has grills and palapas where you can enjoy delicious barbecued meat, listen to the murmurs of nature, the flow of water, birdsong, and much more, as well as camping areas.

The head of Tourism announced that cabins will soon be built by the State Government, which will further contribute to this great community tourism experience.

For now, this site is only open on weekends. La Poza Madre is located in the Chamal Viejo ejido (common land) in Ocampo, Tamaulipas.
