The paradisiacal beaches of Cancun, Tulum, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta have become attractive destinations for foreign investors and buyers in recent years; however, the historic prices of beachfront homes, as well as economic uncertainty, have begun to impact the sales pace of these types of properties.
A breakdown by location shows that Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, ranked highest in home sales in the first quarter of 2025, with a total of 282 units, according to figures from the consulting firm 4S Real Estate.
In Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, 202 home sales were recorded during this period, while in Cancun, 195 were recorded.
These levels are significantly lower than those recorded in the same period a year ago.
