The Aguascalientes government reported this Thursday that since the beginning of Tere Jiménez’s administration, the state has remained among the safest states in the country.

In a statement, the state government emphasized that this is due to the implementation of the “Blindaje Aguascalientes” Security and Justice Plan and the coordination between the three levels of government.

According to Aguascalientes authorities, security has been strengthened in all municipalities with the addition of 963 new police officers, 386 patrol cars, motorcycles, tactical equipment, and surveillance cameras.

It was also reported that security was reinforced in the municipalities of Aguascalientes, Jesús María, and San Francisco de los Romo with the creation of the Metropolitan Police Station and Police.

The statement notes that the professional training of security personnel has been improved through the University of Police and Security Sciences (UNPOL).

“As part of the Aguascalientes Armored Forces (Bundaje Aguascalientes), we trained our police officers, improved their working conditions, and provided them with better equipment. The objective is clear: to maintain peace and tranquility in the state,” said Governor Tere Jiménez.

Authorities stated that due to the security measures taken between March and July of this year, there have been 45% fewer intentional homicides, 11.69% fewer robberies, and 11.39% fewer crimes in general, compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the State Attorney General’s Office.

The Aguascalientes government indicated that the state has the best 911 system in the country for emergency response, according to the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System.

She also emphasized that the Cyber Police is considered a national leader in response and resolution of cases, according to the National Association of Emergency Numbers of Latin America.
