If your favorite pastime is tuning into content from various streaming platforms, then we have good news for you: the Hulu service is coming to Mexico through Disney+.
Disney+ has given the Californian company a space to integrate its catalog, joining other networks such as Pixar, Marvel, National Geographic, ESPN, and even Star+, which broadcast their content through the Walt Disney Company platform.
However, with the arrival of Hulu, Star+’s content will be modified, eliminating several of its titles. Here we tell you all the details about this implementation and the changes it will entail.
When is Hulu coming to Mexico?
It’s important to mention that Hulu is not only coming to screens in Mexico, but also in Latin America, starting this October 8th.
With this change, the Walt Disney Company service aims to expand its catalog and consolidate itself (even further) as one of the most extensive and preferred streaming sites. Additionally, it will include some additional tweaks such as the creation of more user profiles, new content categories, and improved recommendation lists to improve the user experience.
This update will not (for now) increase Disney+’s rates. Its monthly cost of $149 will remain the same for the Standard version with ads; and $249 for the Standard plan without ads. Meanwhile, the Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle with ads will cost $312.59 monthly; while the Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle without ads will cost $550.12.
What will happen to Star+ after Hulu arrives on Disney+?
Although Hulu will displace Star+ from Disney+, not all of its content will be removed from the platform. Some entertainment options will remain available, such as ‘Only Murders in the Building,’ ‘The Simpsons,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy Season 21,’ ‘The Kardashians,’ and more.
Therefore, it will be essential that after updating these services, you check the programming catalog, as some Star+ titles will only migrate to the Hulu section.
Obviously, this change will also be made to the Disney+ mobile app, making it one of the most comprehensive platforms with content for all ages and tastes. Perhaps you’ll like this change, so you should give it a try.
