Repression and intimidation against the Sol Yucatán group is increasing, and now the Ministry of Public Security is “hunting” for the publishing house’s collaborators.
According to reliable sources, agents from the State Investigation Police received instructions to arrest Sol Yucatán collaborators as a means of silence.
The order, according to reports, came from above, that is, from the head of the agency, Luis Felipe Saidén Ojeda, and the governor himself, who is traveling in Miami, should necessarily be aware of it.
“Be careful because they can plant drugs on you; document everything in case a patrol car stops you,” the source explained.
Our source informs us that they recently began following a black Audi, which they had identified as supposedly belonging to a Grupo Sol Corporativo executive, but they were mistaken because no company employee owns a car of that color.
The intention is to create fear and force them to keep quiet in exchange for their peace of mind.
Given this situation, the Attorney General’s Office is requested to intervene through the Department for the Protection of Journalists and Communicators, the State Human Rights Commission, and the state and federal governments to stop the harassment and intimidation that clearly violates freedom of expression, a right established in the Constitution.
The Attorney General’s Office requested the support of the Attorney General’s Office in Mexico City.
In recent days, intimidation against Sol Yucatán has increased through a smear campaign and attacks on digital platforms, in response to publications of corruption and state mismanagement.
Sol Yucatán, through its pages, has reported not only on cases of corruption and mismanagement, but also on the growing insecurity in the state, with criminals infiltrating the Ministry of Public Security and the government.
