Sustainable development actions strengthened in Boca de Chila, Nayarit

The meeting was held to analyze the progress of the “Shared Prosperity Plan,” with the goal of promoting a sustainable, organized, and long-term tourism development model.

This Thursday, Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles, Secretary of the Navy; Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, Governor of the State of Nayarit; and Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, Secretary of Tourism of the Mexican Government, met in Boca de Chila, Nayarit.

At the working meeting, strategic actions for the consolidation of the Boca de Chila tourist destination were reviewed, including new strategies for the hotel complex and a possible maritime connection to the Marías Islands, as part of a coordinated effort between the three levels of government and the private sector.

The Secretary of the Navy highlighted the institutional commitment to ensuring safety, environmental protection, and responsible planning in coastal areas.

For her part, Federal Tourism Secretary Josefina Rodríguez Zamora recognized the leadership of the Nayarit government in implementing tourism policies aligned with the principles of sustainability and social well-being.

“These types of initiatives reaffirm Nayarit’s position as a national benchmark in territorial planning and responsible tourism.”

State Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero reiterated that the shared prosperity strategy promoted by his administration seeks to ensure that the benefits of tourism reach all communities.

“Ensuring that the development of Boca de Chila is carried out with order, inclusion, and full respect for the environment.”

The Navy noted that this meeting with the Government of Nayarit, in close coordination with the Federal Ministry of Tourism, consolidates the foundations of a comprehensive tourism model that promotes investment, job creation, and the preservation of natural resources, reaffirming the commitment to making Nayarit a benchmark for sustainable development in the Mexican Pacific.
