The director of the Querétaro State Festival Board (PFEQ), Gloria García Alcocer, announced that preparations are underway for the Day of the Dead Parade in Querétaro.
She noted that this parade will take place on November 1st through the historic center of the capital.
She indicated that this year there will be five platforms dedicated to Dr. Octavio Mondragón, after whom the University of Querétaro was named.
In addition, approximately 500 people dressed as catrinas and catrines are expected to participate.
She emphasized that the Day of the Dead Parade route will begin at the Mariano de las Casas Plaza, continue along Arteaga, turn onto Corregidora, and end on Morelos Street.
She indicated that more than 15,000 spectators are expected for this parade.
Gloria García Alcocer noted that as part of the Day of the Dead activities, an exhibition of neighborhood altars will also be held in Plaza Constitución.
